Man Utd Transfers: €20 Million Deal For Bayern Munich Legend

Bastian Schweinsteiger set to re-team with his old boss Louis Van Gaal?

Manchester United have reportedly struck a deal with Bayern Munich superstar and German World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger, with formal completion of the transfer described as "imminent". A report from Bild on Friday night confidently claimed that an agreement over a ‚20 million fee had been reached by the two clubs. It is also believed that Schweinsteiger has accepted the offer of a three-year contract worth around ‚10 million per season in wages. However, things accelerated to a new level after planned talks between Schweinsteiger and Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge on Friday. Earlier in the week, Rummenigge had suggested a move to England was of interest to Schweinsteiger after revealing a phone conversation he'd had with the player on the subject of his future. United are believed to also still be chasing Southampton's £25 million rated midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, while Italian defender Matteo Darmian has already arrived in England to undergo a medical ahead of his £12 million move.
