Man Utd Transfer News: Anderson To Return To Porto On Loan?

Manchester United's misfit-midfielder Anderson looks set to return to his former club Porto on loan in the January transfer window, according to the Mirror. The 25-year-old hasn't lived up to the £24 million fee United paid the Portuguese outfit for his services back in 2007 and after six frustrating seasons in Manchester, could be on his way back to his former side. Porto are keen on taking the Brazilian away from Old Trafford on an initial loan arrangement, with the view of the transfer becoming permanent at a later date. United manager David Moyes wants to shake up his side after a disappointing start to the Premier League, with 12 points now separating the champions from first place Arsenal - and also the relegation zone. The Red Devil's priority is to get shut of Anderson for good, but they are open to loan offers as they attempt to balance the books, in terms of contracts, and also the starting XI. Moyes is keen on new faces in the middle of the park and was linked with the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Ander Herrera over the summer, while Benfica star Nemanja Matic is a £20 million target.
