Man Utd Transfer News: Arjen Robben To Join Toni Kroos At Old Trafford?

Manchester United have signed Toni Kroos and now want to reunite him with his Bayern Munich teammate Arjen Robben at Old Trafford next season, according to the Daily Mail. A £20 million deal for Kroos was agreed while David Moyes was still in charge at the club and now his successor, former Bayern boss Louis van Gaal, has given the green light for the move to go ahead. Kroos flourished under van Gaal with the pair winning a German treble together in 2010 and now the 24-year-old wants to work under his former coach once more. But he won't be the only player van Gaal plucks from his former club as he is also set to make a swoop for Robben, one of the Dutchman's first signings at the Allianz Arena, signing him from Real Madrid in 2009. The 30-year-old winger has recently penned a three year extension on his contract at the German champions but that is unlikely to discourage the Netherlands boss, who will be working with Robben at the World Cup. Meanwhile, United are understood to have agreed a £27 million fee for Southampton left-back Luke Shaw, while Borussia Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels is also a target.
