Man Utd Transfer News: Asmir Begovic Rumours Dismissed

The arrival of Jack Butland in the summer had triggered speculation over the future of Begovic, particularly as the soon-to-be-ex-Birmingham star had previously insisted he would only leave the Championship for first team action. Meanwhile, the continued speculation surrounding United's David de Gea also suggested Sir Alex Ferguson would be entering the market in the summer for a new No.1 goalkeeper to replace the Spaniard, who has put in a series of nervy performances this season. However, the former Atletico Madrid star's renaissance between the sticks recently have dampened calls for Ferguson to find a replacement, while Pulis is prepared to make space for Begovic by sending young England international Butland straight out on loan, if it means keeping hold of his current No.1. Pulis said:
