Man Utd Transfer News: Bayern Munich Have No Interest In Wayne Rooney

guardian. Reports in German media had previously suggested the England international was the object of desire for Bayern's incoming manager Pep Guardiola as he plans his revolution of the German club at the end of the season, but those claims can now be all but dismissed following comments made by the club's sporting director, Matthias Sammer, who said:

"I don't know what Rooney would bring to the Bundesliga, I can't answer that. I can answer that we have great respect for Wayne Rooney but there has been no contact with him. There is no contact and he's not on the agenda. No, no. Absolutely not."
Rooney has two years remaining on the new contract he penned back in 2010 following his dramatic handing in of a transfer request at Old Trafford before being persuaded into staying, and now, the ex-Everton star has once more asked to leave. But it seems as though French moneybags PSG would be the only side able to offer him an escape route out of United after his wage demands scared off several suitors. Rooney demands a £250,000-a-week salary and United have put a £40 million valuation on his head, which means the roster of clubs willing to take him on next season are becoming fewer and fewer.
