According to Goal.com, FC Copenhagen full-back Bryan Oviedo has hinted that he would consider a move to Manchester United if Sir Alex Ferguson was to put a bid in for him. The 22-year-old joins a list of players which the Old Trafford club are rumoured to looking at to challenge Patrice Evra next season with Leighton Baines, Neil Taylor and Ashley Cole also reportedly eyed.
Oviedo’s impressive performances for the Danish side led him to become a regular starting player for the team and even grab 2 goals since joining from Costa Rican club Deportivo Saprissa in 2010.
The Costa Rican international was flattered to hear that Manchester United were interested and welcomed any offer:
“I was very proud the first time I saw my name in the English newspapers regarding interest from Manchester United and it made me even more motivated and determined to improve as a player”
He did however suggest it would be difficult to leave Copenhagen as his family comes before his football:
“I have to seriously consider my options if I get an interesting offer. I have to decide what is best for my family and me.”
Manchester United apparently have £40 million to splash this summer and whilst £21 million has already been spent Sir Alex will have to be very selective on who he picks next to wear a United jersey.
