Man Utd Transfer News: Cesc Fabregas To Reject Old Trafford Move

The Sun, Cesc Fabregas, has told his friends he doesn€™t want to join the Premier League champions, despite a resilient effort from Manchester United in attempting to sign their main summer transfer target. Red Devils manager David Moyes has already made two bids for the former Arsenal midfielder, but with both having been rejected, any potential deal to strengthen United€™s core with the Spaniard looks to be slipping away. A Barcelona insider has revealed:

€œCesc is very flattered by United€™s interest and recognises what a great opportunity they offer. But it€™s only two years since he left Arsenal and he doesn€™t want to turn his back on Barcelona so soon.€
United reportedly offered a club-record £35 million fee for the 26-year-old but after that was rejected, David Moyes seemed less willing to discuss the transfer of the Barcelona star. Speaking on United€™s tour of Asia, Moyes said:
"I've never at any time said that we would get him. We have just made offers that have been rejected, so we'll take stock of the situation and we'll go from there.€
With any possible move for Cesc now unlikely, David Moyes and Ed Woodward now face a huge challenge of trying to find an available player to bring into the club this summer. With the club having already missed out of Thiago Alcantara and now Cesc Fabregas, the Red Devils are now being linked with a move for Everton€™s Marouane Fellaini, who has a release clause of £22 million. With Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo constantly rumoured with the club, Moyes could put all his chips on one hand and secure a huge signing and break United€™s transfer record three times over.
