Man Utd Transfer News: David Moyes Determined To Sign Cesc Fabregas

Daily Star. Fabregas made it clear this week that he has no intention of leaving the Nou Camp but Moyes believes incoming transfers at Barcelona could force the former Arsenal man to reconsider. Neymar has already made the move from Santos to the Catalan giants and more attacking players are expected to arrive. Fabregas is rated at £40 million but this seemingly hasn't put off Manchester United who look set to splash the cash this summer to support their new manager. With Paul Scholes retiring and Ryan Giggs looking set to do so at the end of next season, midfield is a key area for reinforcement. Fabregas only played 14 full matches in La Liga last season and is thought to be disappointed with his lack of game time. At this moment in time he seems set on fighting for his place rather than a return to England. Another potential United target is PSV captain Kevin Strootman. Fergie and Moyes are both big fans of the Dutchman but Manchester United will face stiff competition from Rafa Benitez€™s Napoli for his signature as the former Chelsea boss reportedly wants to build his team around the Dutchman. Is midfield the area most in need of reinforcement at Old Trafford? Is Fabregas the right player for Old Trafford? Thoughts welcome below.
