Manchester United summer transfer target James Rodriguez has revealed he has no intention of leaving Porto despite interest from several European clubs.
Rodriguez has been linked with Manchester United as a potential replacement for contract rebel Nani, and despite serious interest in the 21-year-old he has denied he will leave Porto, according to the Mail Online.
The Columbian winger was believed to be subject to a £30 million bid from Manchester United although Rodriguez has denied he will move:
“I want to stay here, Porto are a big club and they are my present. My only thought is playing for Porto and I am also thinking about what is best for the club.”
Porto may well be Rodriguez’s present but if speculation continues his future may lie in the Premier League. Rodriguez had a great season in the last campaign scoring 13 goals in all competitions for Porto, which led the club to retain the Portuguese title.
Sir Alex Ferguson still rates the player very highly which suggests that Ferguson will continue to scout the player just in case he can be convinced to leave the club and make his way to Old Trafford.
