Man Utd Transfer News: Louis van Gaal Ends Interest In Toni Kroos

Manchester United will not be signing Toni Kroos this summer after new manager Louis van Gaal pulled the plug on the move, according to the Metro. Kroos was expected to become one of van Gaal's first signings as United manager but just a few days after being announced as David Moyes's successor, has passed up on the transfer. Predecessor Moyes was believed to have been on the verge of snapping up the 24-year-old midfielder before being sacked last month, but his successor has not been quite as keen. That's despite the fact van Gaal has worked with Kroos in the past, during their days together at Bayern where they won the German treble. However, it appears as though the Dutch coach, who will leave his position to manage United after the World Cup, has drawn up a list of his own transfer targets, and Kroos is not one of them. Another Bayern star who will not be moving to Old Trafford this summer is Thomas Muller, who has also been linked with United but looks set to stay at the Allianz Arena. Muller is understood to be happy at Bayern while the German champions have no interest in selling the attacker.
