Man Utd Transfer News: Red Devils Plot £45 Million Mesut Ozil & Kaka Bid?

Express. The news comes as United missed out on Barcelona's Cesc Fabregas and Gareth Bale, and with manager David Moyes desperate to strengthen his midfield, it appears as though he has identified alternative targets. According to Mundo Deportivo, Ozil is ready to quit Real but a move could depend on whether his club are successul in their pursuits of Bale. Manager Carlo Ancelotti is however more than willing to cut ties with Kaka, who made just 19 La Liga appearances last term. However, Kaka, a £56 million purchase in 2009, is reportedly keen on staying at Real in order to prove himself under Ancelotti, though Los Blancos could be looking to cut their losses. The Brazilian's wages could be an issue though, with very few clubs prepared to match what the midfielder currently picks up in Spain, particularly as he is 31. United's interest in Ozil first surfaced last week after a source told Spanish radio station Punta Pelota that a £40 million offer was incoming. The addition of Kaka to any potential deal is a new development however, and it could be that the Madrid hierarchy are insisting that the Red Devils include him in the fee if they're really serious about Ozil.
