Man Utd Transfer News: Robert Lewandowski To Sign For Bayern Munich In January

Team Talk. United were linked with the 25-year-old over the summer only for the player to profess his wishes to play for the German and European champions. Lewandowski has reportedly already agreed terms over next year's switch to the Allianz Arena and will sign on a free when his contract with Dortmund expires next summer. When asked whether he could announce his switch to Bayern, the Polish international responded:

"Yes, because then I can officially sign a contract."
Lewanwowski was an instrumental player for Dortmund, helping them win back-to-back Bundesliga titles after joining from Lech Pozna„ in 2010. He scored 36 goals in all competitions last season including 10 in Europe as he fired his side to the final of the Champions League, which Dortmund lost to Bayern. Lewandowski has also scored four times in five league appearances this season, too, sending The Prussians joint-top of the table. He will now link up with former Dortmund teammate Mario Gotze, who completed his move from the Westfalenstadion to Bayern earlier this year. This will come as further bad news for United, who missed out on virtually all of their summer targets this year, and even tried to sign Gareth Bale.
