According to the Mail Online, Thiago Alcantara has agreed personal terms with Premier League champions Manchester United.

The Barcelona youngster has agreed a £5.5 million a year deal with The Red Devils ahead of his expected £17 million transfer.

With a deal to bring the 22-year-old almost secured, his current club, La Liga champions Barcelona, are preparing immediate talks with the Spaniard in order to convince him to do a sensational u-turn and stay at the Nou Camp.

Thiago has been rumoured to be joining Manchester United for the last few weeks and with the player having a sensational tournament with the Spanish U21’s in the European U21‘s Championship, progress on the deal has sped up at United’s end.

Thiago is currently on holiday after winning the tournament with his teammates and all negotiations are now firmly in the hands of his father. With the future star having agreed personal terms with the Premier League champions, Thiago representative is set to tell Barcelona the player will be leaving.

With David Moyes technically not in charge of United until July 1st, Thiago is set to be unveiled after then meaning he will actually be Moyes’ first transfer and not Guillermo Varela who is actually the last transfer under in the Sir Alex Ferguson’s reign.

Newly appointed Manchester United manager, David Moyes, is set to make Thiago his first big signing of the summer with Cristiano Ronaldo still rumoured for a possible return to Manchester United.
