Man Utd Transfer News: Toni Kroos Rules Out Old Trafford Move

Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos has ruled out a summer transfer to Premier League champions Manchester United, according to the BBC. Kroos was at Old Trafford on Tuesday night as Bayern were held to a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the Champions League quarter finals, and admits he was "impressed" by the stadium. But the 24-year-old has handed a set-back to fans hoping of seeing him trot out at the Theatre of Dreams on a weekly basis, saying: "It is a beautiful stadium, but I belong to Bayern Munich". Kroos is out of contract at the Allianz Arena in the summer of 2015, and has so far refused to sign an extension, leading to reports that United are interested. But these words will come as a disappointment to Red Devils manager David Moyes, who is in desperate need of reinforcements this summer after a disappointing debut season in charge. United are seventh in the Premier League and will probably have to defeat Bayern in next week's return leg and win the Champions League if they are to compete in the competition next season. Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has said the newly-crowned German champions will hold Kroos to the final year of his contract, further ruling out any move at the end of this season.
