Man Utd Transfer News: Wesley Sneijder's Move To Galatasaray Stalls?

Wesley Sneijder's move to Galatasaray stalls?

Associated Press. It was understood the Dutch midfielder would sign for the Turkish outfit this weekend, and although Galatasaray have reportedly reached agreement with Inter Milan to sign the player, they appear to be struggling to convince the midfielder that a move to Istanbul is the right option. A brief statement from Galatasaray this afternoon said a deal was reached with Inter but that talks with Sneijder were "ongoing". Sneijder hasn't played a competitive game since September last year having been left out in the cold by Inter Milan after refusing to accept a wage-cut. He has been told by angry officials that he will never play for the club again unless he gives in to their demands. A move away from Milan this month therefore seems imminent, and we reported two days ago that the player favoured a move to the Barclay's Premier League rather than Turkey's Süper Lig. Sneijder's representatives have been in talks with a string of top Premier League club's such as Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea, but it is understood they all turned him down because of his excessive £200,000-a-week wage demands.
