Man Utd Transfer News: Wilfried Zaha To Undergo Medical

BBC. The 20-year old has already agreed to a five-and-a-half year contract with the club and will be loaned straight back to the Championship side until the summer. United will pay an initial fee of £10 million with that figure potentially rising to £15 million depending on Zaha's appearances and success at the Premier League club. Both clubs have so far refused to comment on the proposed transfer, but United's veteran manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been heavily linked with the player, and has even remained in England whilst his squad visit Qatar for warm weather training ahead of this weekend's FA Cup fourth round clash with Fulham in order to put the finishing touches on the deal. Yesterday we reported that there could be a hitch in the proposed transfer when the Football League intervened, and wanted to look at the paperwork before ratifying the move. However, it looks as though that potential roadblock has been cleared, with the young midfielder all set to put pen to paper on a long term deal with the Premier League leaders. Zaha was named the Football League Young Player of the Year last season, and has scored 5 goals in 30 appearances for Palace this term. Is Zaha the kind of signing United need to ensure future glory?
