Man Utd Transfers: 10 Dream Ways Van Gaal Should Spend His Unlimited Budget

Chief-executive Ed Woodward suggest no limits on funds, prompting suggestions United should go wild...

Manchester United chief-executive Ed Woodward has promised fans the club will continue to be active in the transfer market this summer, and has revealed manager Louis van Gaal has 'no fixed budget' when it comes to signing new players, according to the BBC. Woodward insisted United are 'extremely strong financially' and would 'do what it takes' to get back to the top of English football. Van Gaal - who officially took over at Old Trafford last week following the end of the World Cup - has already spent a combined £60 million this summer on Southampton left-back Luke Shaw and Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera, and will have an apparently uncapped budget to bring in even more new players over the coming weeks. Woodward said:
"There is no fixed budget. Financially we are extremely strong. We want to do what it takes to win the title."
Woodward's words will come as music to United fan's ears following the difficulties the club went through last summer in signing new players. Woodward and former manager David Moyes failed to land the majority of their transfer targets, bringing in only midfielder Marouane Fellaini from Everton on deadline day. But with Woodward clearly keen to make amends this summer by splashing the cash, we could be about to witness a period of transfer spending the like of which has not been seen at Old Trafford in recent memory. With a virtually limitless warchest, here we take a look at 10 Dream Signings Louis van Gaal Can Make With His Unlimited Transfer Budget.
