Man Utd Transfers: 5 Left-Backs David Moyes Must Consider Before Window Closes

Manchester United manager David Moyes made up for the disappointments of last summer's transfer window by signing Juan Mata from Chelsea last week. Mata is a superb addition - twice named Chelsea Player of the Year, he is expected to revitalise United's midfield and reverse their ill-fortunes out on the pitch. And though his acquisition solves some of Moyes's problems at Old Trafford, his arrival is by no stretch of the imagination an instant fix, and there are still more areas in need of addressing. Like left-back, for instance, where Patrice Evra is nearing the end of his United career with a summer move back to Monaco reportedly in the pipeline. The Red Devil's need for a new full-back has been further emphasised by Fabio's sale to Cardiff City, following a difficult spell at the Theatre of Dreams for the Brazilian. There's now a mere four days to go until the January window slams shut ahead of this Friday's deadline and Moyes may well want to look at signing a new full-back before then. He won't be getting his hands on Everton defender Leighton Baines, however, who has signed a new contract at Goodison Park, wrecking dreams of a reunion in Manchester. Here, though, we take a look at 5 more left-backs David Moyes must consider this month. Click "Next" to get started.
