Man Utd Transfers: 5 Players Fergie Must Buy To Secure Title

3. Raheem Sterling 1

Liverpool's young winger Raheem Sterling has impressed at Anfield so far in a season of little comfort for the home faithful. He only turned 18 this month and already he has established himself as a regular at the club. He also has the endorsement of former Manchester United winger Willie Morgan who has urged Ferguson to sign the youngster, citing that he would be the ideal replacement for Nani - should the Portuguese depart in January as expected. (source - daily mail) However, no player has made the transition from Liverpool to Manchester United, or vice-versa, since 1964 when Phil Chisnall swapped Old Trafford for Anfield, and Liverpool fans would rather bite their own hand off than see one of their own join their hated rivals. Any transfer for Sterling therefore would be sensational - if not a little unlikely. Worth a go though, Ferguson?
