Versatile defender Daley Blind is the sort of player many coaches would love to have in their squads. Capable of playing in various positions around defence and midfield and always putting in a good shift, the Dutchman isn't a bad player by any stretch but just doesn't seem to be rated by Mourinho, who has only given him 30 league appearances in the last two years.

Having fallen so far down the pecking order, 28-year-old Blind needs to put himself first and start looking for a club where his talents will be appreciated. The introduction of Fred to United's ranks will make it even harder for Blind to push for a defensive midfield role and the Red Devils are reinforcing their back four this summer as well.

United bought Blind from Ajax and rumours suggest his former club might be interested in bringing him back. If he wants to keep getting called up to the national side and enjoy these final big years of his career, Blind would be wise to push for the transfer.
