Man Utd Transfers: 5 Potential Last-Minute Panic Signings

There's 12 days left to go of the transfer window and so far Manchester United manager David Moyes has only signed right-back Guillermo Varela from Peñarol. Targets such as Thiago Alcantara, James Rodríguez, Joao Moutinho, Cesc Fabregas, Radamel Falcao and Robert Lewandowski are all now unavailable following a summer of frustration for David Moyes. After officially succeeding from the retired Sir Alex Ferguson on July 1, he would surely have liked to have made one notable signing by now, but bids for the likes of Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines have failed. With cross-city rivals City sitting comfortably having spent £90 million on new recruits, and old enemy Liverpool also getting the bulk of their transfer business done well in advance, the pressure is on Moyes to sign somebody. The transfer window slams shut for another six months a week on Monday which gives the Scot only limited room for manoeuvre in the market at this stage. And with Everton left fuming by what they perceive to have been a "derisory and insulting" bid for Fellaini and Baines earlier this week, you have to wonder if they're now prepared to do business at all this summer. That could leave Moyes scrounging for scraps, and here, we take a look at 5 Potential Last-Minute Panic Signings .
