Man Utd Transfers: 5 Reasons Why Fergie Must Buy In This Transfer Window

5. Injuries

Vidic The Red Devils have been beset by injuries this season, particularly in defence. Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Nemanja Vidic have all been on the sidelines with lengthy injury spells this season, whilst Rio Ferdinand and Rafael have struggled for fitness lately. Midfielders Anderson and Nani are still out, both with hamstring injuries, and the latter hasn't played a single game since November's win over Arsenal. Striker Wayne Rooney is also out at the moment with a knee injury. All this has left United looking a little stretched lately, and with games coming think and fast now that the FA Cup has started, Ferguson could be caught short. Ferguson should buy cover for Vidic and Ferdinand, particularly as their long term replacement's Phil Jones and Chris Smalling have been struggling with injuries of their own.
