There was a scramble to add Saido Berahino to your fantasy football team at the start of last season, as the West Brom striker fired in the goals early doors. At 22 years of age like Harry Kane, he is a young striker with considerable talent and would probably welcome a move away from the Baggies.

Berahino could provide excellent cover for Rooney and given a few good performances could easily force his way in to the starting line-up, such is my confidence that Rooney won't rediscover his scoring touch any time soon. He could add pace to a forward line in desperate need of it, and give players like Michael Carrick and Juan Mata the opportunity to play balls in behind opposition defences for him to run on to.

He needs to work on his finishing and perhaps make better choices in front of goal, but with a mentor like Louis van Gaal and world class midfielders around him, Saido Berahino could really develop in to a top top player. Despite the notion that he would probably be much cheaper than Harry Kane, in a way signing Saido Berahino would represent an ever bigger risk for United.
