Man Utd Transfers: 6 Deals Van Gaal Could Do Today

£166m is no where near enough.

Man Utd might have already spent £133m on bringing Angel Di Maria, Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera and Marcos Rojo to Old Trafford this summer, but the side is far from complete, and far from being a real contender for a top four finish. The side are still without a win after the opening day defeat to Swansea City, and subsequently drab draws against Sunderland and Burnley, and the manner of the results has left a lot of fans frustrated. And rightly so. It is by no means the worst possible start, - and Van Gaal has had considerably worse, without compromising his other side's title credentials - but United have looked toothless and far too weak at the back and something still has to be done. It is clear that the manager needs better players for his system, and not just tent-pole, hugely expensive signings, because statements of intent don't translate into points. So, as the transfer window closes, which players could possibly still be incoming at Manchester United?
