Man Utd Transfers: 7 Ridiculous January Targets Moyes Definitely Shouldn't Sign

With less than a week until the January transfer window swings open for business, "silly season" is almost upon us. Twice a year, football clubs scurry around for bargains, aim to buy high quality (and high priced) additions and fret about which of their own players might be heading for pastures new. And, while these are exciting times for us football fans, it is important that we differentiate from the plausible transfer rumours and the just plain daft. Over the summer, for example, Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid was linked with an emotional return "back home" to Manchester United, four years after moving to Madrid for a then-world-record £80 million. In the end though, the Portuguese megastar signed a new contract at the Bernabeu that will likely tie him to Real for the remainder of his career. It pays therefore to exercise caution in these times and not to swallow so readily the bait media outlets drop in the water between now and February. With that in mind, what other ridiculous transfer targets have United been linked with recently? Players who are either unsuitable for the club, past their best, or just simply aren't going to move? Here, we take a look at 7 Ridiculous January Targets Moyes Definitely Shouldn't Sign.
