Man Utd Transfers: Sergio Ramos Set To Sign New Real Madrid Contract

The Spanish defender will be staying at the Bernabeu until 2020.

Manchester United's top summer transfer target, Sergio Ramos has announced that he will sign a new deal at Real Madrid, according to The Mirror.

The 29-year-old has been trying to force a move to Old Trafford for the last few months but has reportedly agreed to sign a new five-year deal that will keep him at the club until June 2020.

Ramos had become disillusioned with life in Madrid and wanted a contract that represented his worth in the side, especially now that he has taken over as club captain following Iker Casillas' transfer to Porto.

But after a successful meeting with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, Marca reports that Ramos has come to an agreement which offers him a substantial pay-rise alongside the captain's armband.

The new contract guarantees that the centre-back ends his career with the Spanish giants, that was reportedly one of Ramos' wishes.
