He has matured hugely since he started out, and he's now getting to the stage where he could be as important for Madrid as Puyol has been for Barcelona. Ramos can stop threats from Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney and could silence United€™s attackers altogether - he is more than aware of the threat of United's attack, but thanks to his breeding as an attacker, Ramos is very well suited to expect what the opposition might try to get past him. Ramos has been part of 27 games for Real Madrid this season and it€™s hard to critique the defender when he has played such a key role in the squad for many years.
