Manchester City Confirm Pep Guardiola Appointment

The Spaniard seals his switch to the Etihad.

Pep Guardiola will take over at Manchester City in the summer, after Manuel Pellegrini announced that he will leave at the end of the season. The Bayern Munich boss revealed earlier in the season that he would move on from his role at the Bavarian club, stating that he needed a new challenge. And today, moments after Pellegrini announced that he will leave the club following his three year tenure, the club confirmed that Guardiola will take charge. Now that it has been settled, it€™s time for City fans to get excited. Guardiola has achieved success at both Barcelona and Bayern Munich, prompting Neymar to reveal that he wants to play for the 45-year-old in the near future. For their sake, lets hope that Robinho doesn't turn up at the Etihad again, or even worse, Kleberson. The majority of players would relish the chance to work with Pep, especially youngsters Raheem Sterling and Kelechi Iheanacho. But it will be a different matter all together for Yaya Toure, who was sold by Guardiola at Barcelona. I wouldn€™t expect the Ivorian will be receiving any birthday wishes should he stay.
