Manchester City: Joe Hart And Roberto Mancini Clash Over Post Match Comments

Moments after the full time whistle blew on Manchester City's tumultuous last gasp defeat to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu, player and manager had a disagreement of opinion!

as quoted by BBC Sport. "Who else can we blame? We can only blame ourselves." These comments don't appear to have sat very well with his manager Roberto Mancini though. The same report from the BBC carries a response from the Italisn:

"I agree but I think Joe Hart should do his job. I can criticise the team not Joe Hart.

Joe Hart should stay as goalie. I am the judge, not Joe Hart."
Man City took an unexpected lead against Real Madrid on the 69th minute through substitute Eden Dzeko, before Marcelo equalised from a slightly deflected curling shot from the edge of the area. The Sky Blues again went ahead through Alexander Kolarov with five minutes to go after the defender somehow evaded Madrid's defence with a speculative 25 yard drive from a free kick. There would be another twist to the tail though as City capitulated in the final five minutes to concede two killer goals three minutes apart - first Benzema, a substitute himself, found time and space on the edge of the area to swivel around his marker and nestle the ball into the bottom corner of Hart's goal before none other than Cristiano Ronaldo added a third on the 90th minute. Despite the defeat, Mancini is already looking ahead to his sides next European encounter against German Champions Borussia Dortmund, who last night prevailed 1-0 over Ajax. Three points from this fixture is vital for City if they want to avoid emulating their fate of last season when they crashed out of the group stages of this competition:
"We have five games and it is important we beat Borussia Dortmund at home next. "It will be difficult as they are a top team but this year we want to go through."
