Newcastle 0-1 Arsenal: Premier League Player Ratings

Newcastle

Tim Krul: Just couldn't quite keep out Giroud's glancing header and parried back to Walcott for the winger's big chance at 1-0. Got out of jail by Debuchy there. 5.5/10. Mathieu Debuchy: Our man of the match. Put some great tackles in and always a willing outlet up from right back. Stoppage time header hit the bar and then cleared off his own woodwork in the second half. All action performance from France right back. 7/10. Mike Williamson: Escaped punishment for lunge on Giroud. Marking Mertesacker at the set piece from which Giroud scored. 5.5/10. Fabricio Coloccini: Made decent blocks, but gave Giroud half a yard to score from a free kick. 5.5/10. Davide Santon: Popped up all over the pitch when Pardew went for an equalizer. 5/10. Vurnon Anita: Dutch midfielder sat ably, but failed to catch the eye. Subbed. 5/10. Cheick Tiote: His usual destructive self, threw a naughty arm in the face of Walcott. Got away with several fouls, but upset Arsenal. 5.5/10. Click next below for more Newcastle player ratings.
