Newcastle 2014-15 Season Review - 6 Best (And 6 Worst) NUFC Performances

Yes, there were some good performances - well, a few anyway...

Newcastle United never allow a season to go by without making it exciting. Monumental highs are always followed ever so closely by heartbreaking lows - and all of these within the space of just a few weeks. Whether under Alan Pardew or John Carver during the 2014-15 season, there were some extreme low points - in the Premier League, Capital One Cup and FA Cups alike. Now, although Pardew oversaw a far greater number of high points during the campaign than Carver did, there were even a tiny handful of impressive performances under the latter's management. Premier League safety was only assured on the final day of the season - despite the Magpies being in seemingly no danger whatsoever in mid-table mediocrity by the turn of the year - and there was a glorious run to the Capital One Cup quarter-final, although the FA Cup campaign was another disaster. Mixed in across all three of those competitions there were a smattering of standout performances - and, unfortunately, a large number of woeful displays from the Magpies. So here are six of the best - and six of the worst (which, admittedly, there were a whole host of contenders for) - Newcastle United performances of the 2014-15 season.
