Newcastle Squad Numbers For 2015-16 Premier League Season Unveiled

What number shirts have NUFC's new signings been given?

Newcastle United have unveiled their squad numbers for the 2015-16 Premier League season - with new signings Georginio Wijnaldum, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Chancel Mbemba handed the numbers 5, 45 and 18 respectively. Mitrovic will wear the same No 45 he donned at Anderlecht - because the two added together makes nine - while Mbemba has been handed the departed Jonas Gutierrez's squad number and Wijnaldum has returned to the same shirt he wore at his first club Feyenoord. Interestingly, Jack Colback has moved into the No 4 shirt vacated by Ryan Taylor, and Gabriel Obertan has shifted to take up the Geordie midfielder's No 14 shirt.
Paul Dummett, meanwhile, has been given the No 3 shirt as expected - heightening suspicions he could be Steve McClaren's first-choice left-back ahead of Massadio Haidara once fit - following Davide Santon's departure. Elsewhere, former Nottingham Forest duo Jamaal Lascelles and Karl Darlow have received their first Newcastle squad numbers, with the defender given the No 15 shirt and the goalkeeper No 26. The returning Shane Ferguson will now take up the No 34 shirt, Sylvain Marveaux No 31 and Gael Bigirimana No 45. Olivier Kemen is given the No 40 jersey, Curtis Good No 33, while Freddie Woodman - who has gone on loan to Crawley Town until January - will wear No 41. The No 12, 13, 25, 28, 36, 38, 39, 42, 43 and 44 shirts are all still vacant. Newcastle United Squad Numbers For The 2015-16 Season: 1. Tim Krul 2. Fabricio Coloccini 3. Paul Dummett 4.
