Newcastle Transfers: 10 Potential January Signings Benitez Must Consider

9. Theo Walcott - Arsenal

The pacey Arsenal forward may not be the first name to come to mind when the Toon Army fans think of January reinforcements. However, like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain before him, his career at the Emirates appears to have stagnated.

While Walcott is highly unlikely to fetch the big money transfer fee that the Ox did, the former Saints man may be an ambitious loan move for the Magpies if they can swoop in before he returns to his former stomping ground on the South coast.

Like Andy Carroll, Walcott will be aiming to grab a seat on the plane to Russia for England's World Cup campaign but will recognise the urgent need for game time. However, whether Benitez would play him through the centre as per his wishes would remain to be seen, but he is certainly a player who can cause problems to opposition's defences.
