Newcastle Transfers: 5 Shock Moves Pardew Could Make Before Window Shuts

4. Jeremie Aliadiere

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Q49M1J5WzM Jeremie Aliadiere began his career at French academy Clairefontaine before joining Arsenal in 1999. He remained at the Emirates until 2007 where he spent a number of spells on loan at Celtic and West Ham United before departing the club for Middlesbrough. He is currently plying his trade at French outfit Lorient these days and Newcastle recently had an offer for the striker knocked back. Reports have surfaced that Aliadiere's wife is longing for a return to England, which has prompted speculation the forward could be set for a return to the Premier League, where he scored 23 goals. However, Lorient coach Christian Gourcuff has ruled out selling the player this month, meaning it'd come as quite the shock to see him standing outside Newcastle International Airport with a suitcase this afternoon. Pardew could still make a move for the player and make him his sixth French signing of the season, but it likely won't be until the summer. Source(s): Sky Sports
