Newcastle's 2015/16 Third Shirt Confirmed

United will be pretty in pink (ish) next season...

Official confirmation of Newcastle United's third shirt for next season has appeared on Puma's American website. The shirt, which is listed at a whopping $90 (£57.59), is described as being United's "Cup Replica Jersey", which of course means it will be worn no more than twice next season when a weakened Magpies side tumble out of the Capital One and FA Cups at the first hurdle... To you and me it's a navy shirt with a rascal-looking pink and white sash completely obliterated by a giant Wonga logo (why don't we have the current version again?). but Puma insist on calling the colour scheme "peacoat, bright plasma and white." As with all modern day shirts it is 100% polyester and features "dryCELL designation for moisture-wicking properties that help keep you dry and comfortable." Newcastle have already worn their new home shirt in the win over West Ham on the last day of the Premier League season. The design of the shirt, with all its blueness and horizontal lines, didn't go down well with the majority of United fans who are in favour of a much more classic design. This change effort is a really nice shirt but the Wonga logo ruins it. Not because of what it stands for or anything, which of course is a problem for the majority of black and whites, but because it's huge, blue, and not at all in keeping with the rest of the design. The shirt below is rumoured to be the club's away kit for next term which all but confirms that the 2015/16 season will be the worst season for kits Newcastle United have ever seen.
