NFL: Early Predictions For The Playoffs And Super Bowl

AFC Wild Card Round (Pt. 1)

San Diego Chargers @ Baltimore Ravens The Chargers' mid-00s dominance saw them win the AFC West five times out of six between 2004 and 2009, including a stunning 14-2 regular season in 2006, but since then they've only made the playoffs once. However, while uncertainty lingers around the future location of the team, Philip Rivers will be fit and firing this season, with superb draft pick RB Melvin Gordon threatening to surge the NFL this season. They could face a sturdy Baltimore Ravens side led by Joe Flacco in the first post-season game. The Ravens qualified last season with a 10-6 record in the strong AFC North, despite finishing in 3rd, but after beating divisional rivals the Pittsburgh Steelers in the wild card round, they were narrowly defeated by the Patriots. Some big talents have left Baltimore, putting some pressure on the new recruits, while the Chargers are looking like exciting prospects this year. Chargers Win
