Norwich City Transfer News: West Brom In For Wes Hoolahan

Norwich City have received a bid from West Brom for midfielder Wes Hoolahan according to Sky Sports News. Hoolahan has been the subject of continued interest from Aston Villa during the transfer window, with the Irish international even handing in a transfer request. Aston Villa have already bid three times for Hoolahan in the last month, with all offers being rejected by Norwich. However, it now appears as though West Brom have entered the race to sign the 31-year-old, with Sky Sports News reporting that the Baggies are open to taking him on loan. Hoolahan has not featured for the Canaries since New Year's Day as the speculation surrounding his future has intensified. Norwich remain adamant that their midfielder is not for sale and that he will stay with the club. Speaking on Thursday, Norwich boss Chris Hughton confirmed that the Canaries had no plans to part with Hoolahan. "There are always going to be procedures you have at the club, whether a player wants to go or whether the club want to keep that particular player," said Hughton. "At this moment, Wes is very much a Norwich player." With time running out until the transfer window shuts at 11pm tonight, Hoolahan does not have long left if he wants to seal a move away from Carrow Road.
