Premier League: 10 Contenders To Win PFA Player Of The Year Award

10. Marouane Fellaini

Fellaini Everton have been one of the most entertaining teams in the league this year, and I would say that David Moyes thoroughly deserves to be named Manager of the Year this season, although it is difficult to think of a year that he hasn't deserved that honour in his distinguished tenure. To make a club full of quality, young and devoted players that he has assembled on a shoe-string budget is remarkable, and when he does occasionally splash the cash, he hardly ever goes wrong. Marouane Fellaini is a testament to that claim. The towering Belgian has been a notable influence on the Toffees season, with his height and leaping ability causing chaos in the box of the opposition. You can visibly see teams exhale in disappointment when they immediately see an afro emerging from the tunnel. Fellaini causes havoc due to the fact that he seemingly can't be beaten to a high ball, and will chase down defenders in the hope of exploiting their confusion of being charged at life-size Good Luck Troll. He can play a defensive game in order to prevent any cross getting to incoming strikers, and is a clear threat at the other end as his eleven league goals this season demonstrates. He was vital in Everton's unusual flying start to the campaign, scoring in the opening day victory over champions-elect Man United. However, his form has been hit and miss, with the great performances he has produced being matched by games in which he made no discernable influence other than collecting grass on his boots, with the FA Cup defeat to Wigan immediately springing to mind. Also , he continues with his "bad-boy" reputation, having accrued the most yellow cards for the club this season, but at least he is yet to receive his marching orders from referees this season. Chances of winning: Slim to none
