Arsenal have sent defender Johan Djourou on loan to Hannover 96 until the end of the season. The 25-year-old Swiss has only made two appearances for the Gunners this season, both of which were in the Capital One Cup.

Mario Balotelli is on his way out of Manchester, according to the Daily Mail, after manager Roberto Mancini admitted in private that the striker is unchangeable. Sam Allardyce wants Blackburn defender Martin Olsson, according to the Lancashire Telegraph. The Swede put in a transfer request in the summer, but has since been a hugely important player for Rovers. The Mail also reports that Spurs are listening to offers for Jake Livermore and Tom Huddlestone. They reported yesterday that QPR and Fulham were interested in Livermore, and are said to be unlikely to let Huddlestone leave on loan. The Sun says that relegation-threatened QPR have placed an £8m bid for Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott. The England international has also been linked with Aston Villa. Arsene Wenger is on a "winter clear-out" of players so that he can afford to sign David Villa, according to the Daily Mirror. A number of players have been linked with moves away from the North London club, such as centre-backs Djourou and Squillaci, while Marouane Chamakh went on loan yesterday. Sunderland have placed a £2.5m bid for Anderlecht centre-back Roland Juhasz, according to the Sun. The Hungarian is also wanted by Everton and West Ham. Michael Owen is to follow in the footsteps of former Anfield team-mate Emile Heskey and head to the Australian A-League, according to teamtalk.com. The Stoke striker and Ballon D'Or winner is wanted by Perth Glory.
