Premier League Transfers: 5 Bundesliga Players To Target In January

The transfer window is now just around the corner, and there is certainly plenty of interest in German football right now. In fact, key stats from Who Scored illustrates that there are a number of top performing players within the Bundesliga this season. It€™s certain well within the realms of possibility that Premier League clubs will be thinking about adding to their squad from Germany, and that is very much the purpose of this latest slideshow. I€™m especially thinking about the teams involved in the title race here. It has been mentioned plenty of times before that the Bundesliga is quite similar in terms of the style of football as the EPL. Therefore, managers can be fairly sure that any reinforcements acquired should be able to easily adapt. So, without further ado €“ let€™s have a look at five options for the EPL elite to check out€

5. Ricardo Rodriguez

There will certainly be a few teams in the Premier League in search of a new left back to go into battle with, if so €“ Ricardo Rodriguez (right, above) appears to fit the bill. The Switzerland international has been in superb form for Wolfsburg this season; he has provided three goals and three assists this season showing his attacking ability. However, the really startling thing is the level of performance that he has produced with an average rating of 8.09 from league games €“ a rating that is only beaten by Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Franck Ribery and Luis Suarez, across the top leagues in Europe this season. His performances this season has also led to him winning five Man of the Match awards, and is certainly playing a significant role in his club€™s current position of fifth in the league. The fact that he is still only 21, perhaps shows what a good long-term investment he would be. It should perhaps also be mentioned that the top German will also be looking at him.
