While David De Gea may be the obvious choice here for his uncharacteristically poor season, he's still the main reason United are even 6th in the table. Jordan Pickford meanwhile, gets lauded as one of the very best goalkeepers in England, yet he rarely puts up a performance between the sticks to prove it.

Pickford has made four errors leading to goals this season, one of which we'll get to, which puts him atop that particular unwanted stat list. He's prone to dropping a cross and his passing accuracy leaves a lot to be desired in comparison to league leaders Alisson and Ederson. And then there's the simple fact that he's conceded over 100 goals since joining Everton two years ago. Sure, a lot of that might come down to Everton's overall defence, but his mistakes are his alone.

Speaking of which, we'd be remiss if we didn't mention his massive blunder in the dying minutes of the Merseyside derby, in which he kept a wayward shot from Virgil Van Dijk in play and tossed it onto the head of Divock Origi. It's one thing to make such a baffling mistake, but a whole separate thing to do it in a Merseyside derby.
