QPR Transfers: Borini Talking His Way Out Of A Transfer?

QPR owner says "player expectations" too much.

QPR owner Tony Fernandes has just spoken to Sky Sports News to state that any move for Fabio Borini is highly unlikely. The major issue according to the former F1 team owner is that player expectations and agent expectations are too much of an impediment at the minute, and it's not likely that anything can be negotiated before the end of the transfer window. Borini had long been linked with a move to Sunderland, but with Sebastian Coates joining the Black Cats the chance to sign him on loan has disappeared, and QPR had seemed to leap into the lead as the favourites to sign the Italian. Sadly now for QPR fans, Borini looks unlikely, though there is some good news as a move for Sandro is almost complete, and Rangers are still trying to make something happen to reunite Harry Redknapp with Jermain Defoe, despite interest from Leicester City. It now looks likely that Borini will stay and fight for his place at Liverpool - an unlikely place given Brendan Rodgers' available options. He should have dropped his demands and joined either Sunderland - who apparently retain some hope of a permanent deal - or QPR, where he would be guaranteed first team opportunities. Maybe he just doesn't want to play? Meanwhile Niko Krancjar has once more joined Harry Redknapp. Sky Sports News seem surprised - precisely nobody else in the world should be.
