Rafa Nadal To Return To Action This Month

Former World Number 1 Rafa Nadal is set to return to tennis action later this month.

Former Tennis World Number One Rafa Nadal has confirmed via his Facebook Page that he will return to the sport in the Mubadala Championship in Abu Dhabi later this month. The Spaniard has won the last two Mubdala Championships, and wrote via his social media page:
"Can't wait to get back on court in Abu Dhabi at the end of the month. I won in 2010 and 2011 - would love to get my hands on the trophy again!"
Nadal hasn't played since the 3rd Round of Wimbledon in June this year, which he surprisingly lost to World Number 100 Lukas Roso in the second round of the competition. The current World Number 4 has been blighted by injuries throughout his career, and was unable to defend his Wimbledon Title in 2009 after suffering from Tendinitis. He has won 11 Grand Slams however, including a record 7 French Opens, the latter of which he secured prior to his latest injury setback. Nadal though is cautious about his return to the sport. He told Spanish radio station Onda Cero:
"I will only come back when I am fit. I won't come back worrying about my knee. The results will not worry me in the first tournaments back. We are in the last stage of the recovery and I want to recover as soon as possible but I will not rush back and then have to stop again in six months or a year's time."
