Rangers Transfers: 10 Signings To Secure Promotion

Just who represents the missing pieces of the promotion puzzle?

Season 2014-2015 was a complete failure for Glasgow Rangers. Finishing third in the Scottish Championship behind Hearts and Hibernian, the Gers were left reeling when they eventually lost in a promotion Playoff Final against relegation-threatened Motherwell. This meant that the side had failed to move up to the Scottish Premiership, consigned to another year in the second tier. Since the arrival of Mark Warburton and David Weir at the beginning of the 2015-2016 campaign, things have been looking a lot brighter for Rangers. Hopes are high that the team will finally reclaim their rightful place back in the top mix of Scottish football, but it's also clear that the extremely threadbare nature of the squad needs some attention. Warburton has heralded a lean, hungry collection of players since becoming Rangers manager, but it's also obvious that the team requires some reinforcements in order to push over the finish line. Halfway through the current season, the Gers sit atop the Scottish Championship. Recently seeing off Hibs, their nearest challengers, the Ibrox outfit will look to strengthen throughout January. This list takes into account the kind of faces Rangers fans would like to see come into the fold at the club. In the interest of staying realistic, only names within the financial means of the Glasgow giants are taken under consideration. Reports suggest the club are about to land Josh Windass and Matt Crooks from Accrington Stanley, but who else would be an ideal recruit?
