Real Madrid Closing In On Mega Deal For Man Utd Superstar

The Spanish giants are edging closer to a deal for David De Gea...

Manchester United are reportedly resigned to losing David De Gea to Real Madrid this summer, according to Goal. New Los Blancos boss Rafael Benitez has made the Red Devils' 'keeper his number one priority signing, and hopes to bring him to the Bernabeu this summer. De Gea made it clear that he wanted to leave Old Trafford for Madrid in early June, after refusing to sign a new contract and revealing his desires to join the Spanish club. There could be a lot of business going on between the two clubs over the summer - Manchester United are reportedly closing in on a deal for Real's centre-back Sergio Ramos. Similar to the De Gea situation, Ramos has told Madrid that he wishes to make the move to the Premier League with United in the summer. David De Gea arrived at Old Trafford in an £18m deal from Atletico Madrid four years ago. Despite undoubtedly taking time to settle into life in England, the 25-year-old has extremely quickly turned himself into an outstanding Premier League goalkeeper, and he's gone onto become one of the best 'keepers in the world in the process. Benitez will be eager to get this drawn-out transfer saga done and dusted now - and it could be complete sooner rather than later.
