Real Madrid Ready To Make Bid For Juventus Ace

Los Blancos are lining up a bid for Italian centre-back Leonardo Bonucci.

Real Madrid are already preparing for life without Manchester United inbound Sergio Ramos as reports coming from Italian news outlet Mediaset Sport suggest that Rafael Benitez is ready to make a £21m move for Italian international Leonardo Bonucci. With rumours of Sergio Ramos heading to Old Trafford gathering serious pace, new Madrid boss Benitez is wasting no time at all in searching for a suitable replacement. Bonucci, who has two years left on his contract in Turin, made more appearances than any other player for Juventus last term. The 28-year-old has also accumulated 47 caps for the Italian national side. The ex-Liverpool and Napoli boss Benitez has been rocked by the news of Ramos wanting to leave the Bernabeu Stadium this summer. The Spanish international has been at Real Madrid since 2005, going onto make nearly 450 appearances in all competitions for Los Blancos during that time. However, if Ramos does eventually make the move to the Premier League and Real Madrid can persuade Leonardo Bonucci to come to La Liga, then he would undoubtedly be a more than capable replacement for the Spaniard. The Italian champions are not going to let their defensive ace make the move without a fight, and Los Meringues are going to have to meet their valuation for the player.
