As content with dolling out verbal kickings as literal ones, Roy Keane’s had his fair share of feuds. Even as a TV pundit the ex-Manchester United captain is still highly flammable. Indeed, he seems dangerously on the verge of spontaneous combustion every time Adrian Chiles prattles through an autocue and his lust for provocation continues to extend from trolling the godfather of the Premier League to telling Patrick Viera that he wasn’t as tough as him.

So with the documentary Keane VS Viera: The Best of Enemies recently airing on ITV, it seems only right that we whittle down the abrasive Irishman’s top 5 beefs. For those who didn’t make it onto the list, honorable mentions go to the prawn sandwich brigade, Dwight Yorke, Wags and anyone who makes fun of his Irish heritage (strictly not advised).
