Sir Alex Ferguson Retires: 4 Infamous Moments From His Illustrious Reign

4. Tearing Down The House Party

Fergie The early 90's were a simpler time. A time of dodgy haircuts, comical pop records and questionable alcopop drinks. They were also the time that arguably gave rise to the modern footballer we see today. The entitled, preening and wealthy millionaires we watch every weekend rose from this era, when TV deals suddenly ballooned like my weight every winter. Now the craggy old Scot didn't understand this behaviour (and still doesn't tolerate it to this day), so when he found out that Lee "Sharpey" Sharpe and Ryan "Giggsy" Giggs were having a house party at the former's house he did what any self-respecting managaer would do; he stormed up, broke up the party and gave the boys the infamous hairdryer. Presumably he then said, "Now with that out of the way... BEER BONG!" and proceeded to show the youngsters how real men drink.
