As usual, when there is a transfer window looming, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club are at the centre of countless rumours surrounding players potentially leaving and signing for the club. Last summer, along with the sale of Gareth Bale and numerous other first-teamers came the signings of no less than seven new players. Paulinho, Roberto Soldado, Nacer Chadli, Vlad Chiriches, Etienne Capoue, Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela were all brought in for a total of around £100 million and, after a season of disappointment for most of them, more changes are expected. Furthermore, the recent appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as Spurs' new manager has heightened the rumours that the Lilywhites are set to spend more money, given that the Argentinian former Southampton and Espanyol boss will no doubt want to stamp his own mark on the club. Understandably, a number of his former Southampton players have been linked to his new club - Luke Shaw, Dejan Lovren, Morgan Schneiderlin, Adam Lallana and Jay Rodriguez have all been touted as potential Spurs targets - but a much wider range of attacking options have also been linked. The likes of long-term Spurs targets Romelu Lukaku, Christian Benteke and Loic Remy have all been mentioned again, with all of them said to be potentially available. Remy was said to have agreed personal terms with Arsenal just a few days back, but nothing more has come of that and he remains a potential option for Spurs. The club have even been linked with the likes of Edinson Cavani but, if even the most devout Spurs fan was being honest, that isn't going to happen.
