Spurs Poll: Will Tottenham Get The Job Done In Cyprus?

Spurs take on AEL Limassol tonight. Will a weakened team settle the tie early?

Mauricio Pochettino takes charge of his first European game since taking over at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club tonight, as the Lilywhites take on AEL Limassol in Cyprus in the first leg of the Europa League qualifying round. Having previously been critical of the competition whilst in charge of Southampton, citing it as being "not attractive", the Argentinian head coach has performed an opinion U-turn - largely because of the fact that winning the competition comes with the new incentive of qualifying for the next season's Champions League. Pochettino will name a much-changed team from the side that defeated West Ham United last Saturday, with Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele, Nacer Chadli and Paulinho expected to make their first appearances of the season after their respective World Cup exploits over the summer, while Emmanuel Adebayor, Christian Eriksen, Younes Kaboul, Aaron Lennon and Etienne Capoue haven't travelled to Larnaca at all with this Sunday's home game against Queens Park Rangers in mind. Spurs will be expected to win comfortably, but we want to know if Spurs can effectively end the tie before AEL travel to London to face Spurs on their own ground. So, by voting in the poll below, please let us know if you think Spurs have what it takes to finish this tie off tonight. Please feel free to elaborate on your thoughts in the comments section at the bottom of the page. And please feel free to follow me on Twitter! Tonight's match kicks off at 5pm United Kingdom time.
